A catch-all mailbox receives emails sent to invalid addresses under the very same domain. For instance, an email sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can get messages from colleagues or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Only one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at some point you may begin receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be sent to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

If you host a domain name on our cloud platform and you’ve got a cloud hosting account, you will be able to activate the catch-all functionality for any mailbox that you create under the domain name. The Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section includes quite a lot of functions, but it is very easy to work with, so configuring a catch-all mailbox takes only one single click. All the email addresses that you’ve set up will be displayed in this section in alphabetical order and you will simply have to click the "Catch-all" button pertaining to the particular email address. Our system will inform you if there is already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either turn off the latter feature or choose some other mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all option is just as easy and takes yet another click on the exact same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

You’ll be able to configure a catch-all address with no more than a click if you have a semi-dedicated server with us and your email messages are handled by our cloud web hosting platform. All the mailboxes that you set up with any domain name hosted in the semi-dedicated account will be listed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel. Each of them will have a mini "Catch-all" icon next to it, so all it will take to activate the feature will be to click that icon. In the same way you will be able to deactivate the feature, in case you do not need it any longer. Our system will let you know in case you’re attempting to activate a 2nd catch-all address for a particular domain name or if there’s enabled email forwarding, but it will never deactivate or alter any feature automatically or without your consent.
